If you have read my previous post on How to Make Money on the Internet, you would probably be interested to know more about Affiliate Selling, Affiliate Programs, etc… and how is it applicable to you living in Singapore…

As mentioned before, Affiliate Selling is simply about referring customers to buy someone else’s products or services, and being paid a commission… Therefore, it’s actually the equivalent of working as a salesman. In the case of Internet Affiliates, we’re referring to an online version of a sales job.

And, you probably already know that the main advantages of Internet Affiliates is the ability to join multiple programs at the same time (meaning you sell for multiple “bosses”), no running about to give sales talk, and it can run 24/7…

And you must be wondering by now, “What do I need in order to get started ?”

Before we touch on that, let’s answer some frequently asked questions:

Can I join overseas Affiliate Programs?

Yes you can! Unless the company has a policy that restricts affiliates based on nationality. But in general, because the Internet is global, you are normally able to join any overseas affiliate programs and get paid. However, it is important to read up their policy about affiliate payouts (there may be charges for every payout due to the processing and mailing of cheques, etc). If they do payouts through PayPal, then all you have to do is sign up a PayPal account and get them to credit the payout to your PayPal account. As a general rule, do read up on their policies…

Where can I find affiliate programs to join?

There are lots of companies offering affiliate programs to increase sales, and there are also affiliate networks which does the middle-man job of “match-making” the “Vendor” and the “Affiliate”. Believe me, it is not at all difficult to locate affiliate programs.

Alright now, back to the question of “What do I need in order to get started ?”

For a start, the basics you would need is a computer, an Internet connection, and this great step by step guide which I followed when I just got started and would highly recommend…

This is one question often asked. Just how exactly can the Internet bring me money?

A few major keywords you’ll hear very often are “affiliate selling“, “niche content“, “online advertising“, etc… For those of you still confused by these words, let’s go into the details…

The Internet is often about content, you visit a news website to get news updates, a tutorial site to gain knowledge, dating sites to make friends, etc… Therefore, when a website has content that draws visitors, Internet Advertising enters the story…

Internet Advertising can be easily understood in 2 main parts. The Advertiser being the party who pays to advertise a product or service, and the Publisher being the party who displays the Ads on a website and get paid. Often, there is also a middle-man who manages or “match-make” the Advertiser and the Publisher.

Affiliate selling is not about creating your own products or services and selling them…

It is about selling products or services on behalf of someone, and for a commission. It is simply the “online version” of getting yourself a salesman job and selling products / services on behalf of your boss… And the best part of this version is that you can join multiple affiliate programs at the same time and sell a different range of products (usually digital products e.g. software, e-books, online subscriptions, etc) for different vendors, something which you probably cannot do when you work as a real life salesman!

Affiliate selling is available at many vendors, some digital products earns you commission as high as 50% of the product price, and all you have to do is market it and bring customers to the vendor’s website with a special tracking code (so they can identify you), no meeting of customers or long hours of sales talk… haa

Sounds easy? You bet ! but only if you got the info from the right sources …

There’re many great guides around to help you get started, some packaged into a step by step guide so that you can just step through. This is the one that I prefer…

Personally, I would advise to start off with a part-time involvement, and when you are confident that you’re going the right way, you may eventually make Internet Income your full time career (like me !).

Haha ! What a name … whosayone.com

In Singapore, “who say one” normally refers to “who said that” or something similar. And, just what is whosayone.com about?

Well, this is just a personal blog. The name came about when me and my group of friends was at a gathering, when the discussion of Internet Income started…

“My blog is earning me good money since last February…” said KC.

Ai Ling, who has always been skeptical, replied “Aiya, all these internet earn money thing, all fake one lah… don’t bullsh!t ”

And immediately, KC, Alan, and me all replied together “Who Say One !”

Then I decided to start this blog to clear some doubts, and describe some of the true and false of earning money from the Internet. Can you and I really earn money from the Internet ? All these questions will be answered at whosayone.com, and by following what I post, you too can be on your way to earning some cash… Cool huh?
